Aanstaande zondag 7 april organiseert het Leids Dichtersgilde een dichtersmiddag bij Espressobar Meneer Janssen. Deze keer wordt er o.a. aandacht besteed aan 400 jaar Arabisch in Leiden.
Petra Sijpesteijn en Ali Rida Rizek (Master student aan de American University van Beiroet en tijdelijk student én docent in Leiden) brengen u poëzie in de oorspronkelijke taal en de Nederlandse vertaling.
Acteur Tijs Huys vertelt een verhaal uit '1001 Nacht' en muzikant en theatermaker Rian Evers zingt Arabische liedjes.

This Sunday, April 7, '400 years of Arabic' will be present at the bi-annual Poetry Afternoon of the Leids Dichtersgilde (the Leiden Poets Guild).
Ali Rida Rizek (a graduate student at the American University of Beirut and visiting student and teacher of Arabic Lanuage at Leiden University) and Petra Sijpesteijn (professor of Arabic Language and Culture) will bring you original and translated Arabic poetry.
Actor Tijs Huys tells a story from the '1001 Nights' and musician Rian Evers performs her self-composed Arabic songs.
